Mars exploration, FORTIS, the official timekeeper of the mission

On November 4th, MARS 500, a pioneering space experiment of ESA, FSA, DLR and also the Chinese space agency, will end. More than 15 months ago the hatch of the space habitat in a research institute near Moscow was shut for 520 days. Six probands from four different nations are taking part in this real-time experiment simulating a flight to the red planet to generate the scientific basis data for a future Mars mission.

On the occasion of this huge step towards Mars exploration, FORTIS, the official timekeeper of the mission, is launching the BLACK MARS 500 CHRONOGRAPH, produced in a limited edition of only 500 pieces. The official mission logo is engraved of the side of the case and also the screw-down case back is embossed using the logo of the Federal Space Agency Roscosmos.

Right on time for the "landing" of the MARS 500 Crew, this piece of space history will be available and gives space enthusiasts the opportunity to purchase the official time keeper of the first necessary step to Mars.
